Placement Description: Mitaka Daisan Elementary school is a local elementary school in Mitaka.

Location:

Level of Japanese Required: Lower-Intermediate Japanese

Typical Day: Interns assist the after-school care staff! Their main responsibility is to play with the kids, usually with card games and board games. Some of the kids ask for help with their English. Interns also help set up the after-school care room, and clean it up afterwards.

Schedule: Interns usually spend two afternoon a week at the school, for about three hours each time.
