三鷹市立大沢台小学校 (Osawadai Elementary School)

Placement Description: Mitaka Osawadai Elementary school is a local elementary school in Mitaka.

Location:

Level of Japanese Required: Lower-Intermediate Japanese

Typical Day: Interns assist the English teachers in their classrooms. Thier responsibilities include helping the English teacher with the lesson by hanging up flashcards on the board, standing at the back of the classroom and repeating English vocab words with the kids to help their pronunciation, and making sure kids are completing any textbook work they have assigned.

Schedule: Hours change every week, as the times depend on when English classes are held.

What Former Interns Say:"This internship requires very little (basically no) Japanese language skills at all, so if you are looking to find a position that will help you improve your Japanese conversational ability, this might not be a good fit."

-Emma Duncan, Fall 2017
