Studio Bloomsters Japan
Placement Description: Studio Bloomsters is a flower shop in Mitaka. Check out their website here.
Location:
Level of Japanese Required: Intermediate-Advanced Japanese
Typical Day: Interns help water and care for the flowers. The owner, Ms. Tachimoto, teaches them how to arrange the flowers into bouquets. Interns also help deliver the flowers to customers' homes.
Schedule: Interns usually spend one afternoon a week at the flower shop, for about 2 hours.
What Former Interns Say:"I chose the flower shop because I wanted to learn about actual flower arrangement skills. However, the owner is really busy so you might not actually ask her to teach you about it. If you like flowers, I recommend this place but if you want to improve your Japanese skills etc, it might not be a good place."
