Welcome to the Community Engagement Database

Are you studying at Middlebury School in Japan for your Fall semester? Then you're probably excited about participating in the Community Engagement program, SiJ's unique student internship initiative! This database is a record of current Community Engagement internship possibilities. You can browse through this site, and explore the organizations that students have interned with in the past. If you have any questions or comments, you can reach out to SiJ's staff through the contact page.

Internship Types
Students can intern at a wide variety of local organizations, from  sushi restaurants, to publishing companies, to elementary schools! To make the database easier to navigate, we've classified the internship possibilities into three main types, as defined below. In addition, we always invite students who are interested in doing so to reach out to companies independently to see if they are interested in hosting one of our students.
